Martina has always been fascinated by words and sounds and it took her quite some time to get from indoeuropean linguistics and dialectology to psycholinguistics and L1 acquisition. During her exchange program in Berlin she got the opportunity to learn more about language processing and neurolinguistics. At the moment she is working on her master thesis on phoneme contrasts and their processing in the brain using neurophysiological methods. As means of relaxation she enjoys climbing and hiking. Also, she has a picture of Angela Friederici in her room.
