Lucie Jarůšková

Lucka graduated from the Master’s double major in General Linguistics and Hispanic Studies at the Faculty of Arts and she is now a PhD student in Czech language. She enjoys combining several disciplines, which is why she is mainly interested in psycholinguistics, especially multilingualism and social aspects of speech. At the same time, she participated in the project, which has been developing a diagnostic tool of infants’ and toddlers’ communication. In her MA thesis she focused on accent-based social preferences in children. She is continuing this topic in her PhD, where she is investigating accent and its influence in social interactions in childhood and adulthood (e.g. attitudes towards foreigners and so on). In her free time, she plays football, likes to dance and travel, reads a lot and loves eating pasta.
